“Every time you rim the bowl, it is like squeezing out whatever vibration is vibrating the whole body.”
Where To Start
This workshop takes you from curiosity to understanding. Over 2 days with Jessie Lee you learn the principles behind sound healing, the science of vibration and frequency, and the instruments used in sound therapy.
You come away knowing
How different sounds affect the body and mind
How to choose and play a singing bowl
How to set an intention so a session does what you want it to do
What Changes
Sound healing is simple to receive and takes a little knowledge to give well. Here is what people use it for.
Long sustained tones slow the breath and settle racing thoughts, often within minutes.
Worry, fear and anger each sit in the body. Specific tones and placements help move them out.
Each of the 7 chakras answers to a note. Sound reaches the ones that feel blocked or flat.
One bowl, played with the right technique and a clear intention, becomes a daily reset.
The Three Threads
Every sound healing session rests on these 3 threads. The workshop teaches each one and then shows you how they work together.
How sound moves the body
Frequency, resonance and the way different tones travel through water, tissue and the nervous system.
The 7 chakras and their notes
Which bowl, tone and position speaks to which centre, and how to balance and activate them with sound.
The part the player brings
Why the same bowl gives a different result in different hands, and how to hold mindfulness and purpose through a session.
What You Will Learn
Singing bowls, gongs and other instruments, what each one is for and where its strength lies.
How sound is used to balance and activate the 7 energy centres.
The link between vibration and the release of stored emotion, and how to hold space for it.
How to set and keep an intention through a session so the sound works for a purpose.
Where Tibetan bowls come from, the metals and the planets they are linked to, and how to choose the right bowl for a purpose.
The yin and yang qualities of bowls and how to pair them to balance energy.
Striking, rimming and placement, with techniques for different intentions including healing.
